Twilight Zone Autographs

Collectors avidly seek autographs related to The Twilight Zone. 

Beginning in 1959, The Twilight Zone was a revolutionary entry into the science fiction genre of television.  The original series of The Twilight Zone had 156 episodes and introduced budding actors and actresses that would blaze their own paths and star in major movie and television productions.  Actors such as Robert Duvall, Robert Redford, and Jack Klugman, are examples of young actors who would become famous in their own right.  Their autographs are available on photographs, contracts, letters, and album pages. 

Established actors and actresses also appeared on episodes of The Twilight Zone.  Joan Crawford, Burgess Meredith, Agnes Moorehead, Cliff Robertson, and Telly Savalas, are some well-known personalities who appeared on the show.  In many cases, their careers blossomed as a result of their work on The Twilight Zone.  Their autographs are still in constant demand.

Rod Serling was the executive producer who brought the Twilight Zone to television.  Serling was a brilliant head writer of The Twilight Zone who authored about half of the shows programs.  In addition to Serling, other science fiction authors who became famous in their own right wrote many of the episodes.  Writers such as Richard Matheson, Charles Beaumont, and George Clayton Johnson, contributed fascinating stories that became the backbone of The Twilight Zone. 

Serling’s autograph is available on books he wrote that are related to The Twilight Zone, and other books that include Season to be Wary, and Patterns.  Serling’s autograph on personal checks and photos is offered through the Internet and antique shows. 

Autographs of George Clayton Johnson and Richard Matheson are mainly available on their books.  The autograph of Charles Beaumont, one of the creative geniuses behind several classic episodes of The Twilight Zone, is rare.  Beaumont’s autograph has been found in two of his books: The Hunger and other Stories and The Intruder. 

Serling sold his rights to The Twilight Zone television series to CBS. CBS has promoted the show and has broadcast The Twilight Zone marathon for many years.  Serling’s relationship with The Twilight Zone and his interesting life as an author is revealed in Money Secrets of the Rich and Famous. 

Generations of new fans have grown up familiar with the fascination of The Twilight Zone.  The allure of this creative show will continue to generate collectors who treasure autographs related to the magic of The Twilight Zone.
